The Three Star Memorial's Mission is giving students the opportunity to excel in and out of the arena while obtaining their college education! Encouraging students from the youth up to the collegian level to be a part of the rodeo community, let their light shine, and to make a difference in the world.
Three Star Memorial History
Three Star Memorial is a Non-Profit Organization that is in Memorial of Three Stars that are greatly missed;
Todd Fincher, Jody Hart, and C.M. Kuhlman.
2016 has been a ground breaking year for the Three Star Memorial Fund. With the support of the community and the West Texas A&M Rodeo Team we were able to raise over $30,000, having the World’s Largest Women’s Breakaway Roping, adding over $15,000 dollars, and a 17 hour production, to say the least! With four scholarship recipients from WTAMU; David Hinman, $2500, Lane Baker, $1500, Brenna Hartley, $2500, and Tayler Bradley, $1500, as well as giving the WT Rodeo Team the remaining proceeds, Three Star Memorial has been able to allow the Legacy to Shine on!
In 2015 the Three Star Memorial Roping Raised over $15,000 dollars. All proceeds went directly back into two collegian students from West Texas A&M University, Nicole Espenson & Chris Bechthold. Three Star Memorial also donated $10,000 directly to the WTAMU Rodeo Program. Our organization is more than proud of all of the students, contestants, and volunteers that make this organization happen!
In 2014 Three Star Memorial raised $14,000 dollars in contribution to the West Texas A&M University Rodeo Team Program. Three Star Memorial held a scholarship essay competition among the 2013-2014 WT Rodeo Team Members and presented two $2500 Scholarships to male/female student.
Three Star Memorial has been actively participating in the aid of the West Texas A&M University Rodeo Program for over 20 years throughout different organizations, established in 1996. 2014 was the first year that the Three Star Memorial has been its own independent non-profit organization.
The Three Star Committee has big goals and expectations to be met in the future of our program, providing students with the help that they need to further their education in and out of the arena.
The Kuhlman, Hart, and Fincher families, along with many friends and family have joined forces to ensure the success of the Three Star Memorial Program. This program reflects the loss of three amazing boys, and promotes their legacy to live forever in the Lord’s home! They will forever be in our hearts, and we pray that they watch over us as our angels to lead us in the direction that we are destined. PTL!
Matthew 6:33 is our organizations daily scripture, a scripture that was dear to C.M. Kuhlman.
"We seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well! "
